I’m hosting a Cuppa to raise funds for all people living with dementia.

I’m hosting a Cuppa to support people living with dementia. 

Every dollar raised helps make a difference to the 446,500 Australians living with dementia, and the families and friends who support them every day. 

Help me reach my fundraising goal so together we can help ensure that no one faces dementia alone.  

Your donation could help Dementia Australia: 

  • Provide free, confidential support through the National Dementia Helpline, available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. 
  • Deliver trusted dementia information and resources, including translations in multiple languages. 
  • Expand our network of Memory Lane Cafés, where people living with dementia can connect, share experiences and enjoy meaningful moments together. 
  • Fund vital research to improve care and work towards future breakthroughs.

We are 4 sisters supporting our eldest sister Eileen who is living with Dementia
And those that are living with Dementia across Australia

Eileen is not our first family member who has been diagnosed with Dementia. First it was our Dad who lived with Dementia for around 8 years and passed  over 20 years ago. Around 14 years ago our sister Eileen was diagnosed with dementia and has become a large advocate in getting our community to become A Dementia friendly community around the Redlands and Brisbane areas. 
Just two small things that would make a very big differences In the  community may be just little things In the minds of those who are not diagnosed with dementia but would help those living with dementia, those two things are
Changing the toilet seat in a predominately white bathroom to a blue toilet seat, and to paint a yellow strip on the edge of each step. Both of these two small changes would help prevent unnecessary fall’s around our community. 
So please dig deep and donate to this cause every $$ raised goes to Dementia Australia to help make those in our communities living with Dementia lives just a little more easier.  
We are looking to host a “Cuppa for Dementia” at the Cleveland Markets. Date TBA
