In loving memory of Nanny, I’m hosting a Cuppa to raise funds for research and support for those affected by this heartbreaking diagnosis

For nanny 🩷 and all those with or love someone with dimentia

I'm taking part in Cuppa Time for Dementia to raise funds that support more than 433,300 Australians living with this condition right now.

But I need your help!

Please support me so we can continue to help people with dementia by providing the services and support they need every day.

Dementia is the leading cause of death among women in Australia. And overall it comes in at number 2. That's why we need to do something now.

Let's create a Dementia-Friendly Future for tomorrow and help people impacted by dementia today.

When you support me, your donation goes straight to Dementia Australia. It will help them:

  • Provide a 24 hour support line
  • Offer counselling services
  • Create and provide important information about dementia
  • Help people plan their nexts after a diagnosis
  • Fund much needed research into prevention, treatments, and a cure.

Let's tackle dementia, together.

Thank you for your support.

My reason why

Saturday 16th Aug
My nanny was the happiest and kindest soul that we were all so blessed to know and love. We were lucky that her path with dementia didn't take this from her but her memory and spark definitely faded. They call dementia the long goodbye, i still remember the first time i felt nanny didnt recognise me, i sat in the car balling my eyes out before my long drive home because it felt like i had lost the nanny i knew, it felt like half my family had just vanished even though she was still here...everytime i would visit i would again find myself wiping away tears as i left just wishing she would one day greet me with a big hug and smile like she used to. Seeing someone you love slowly decline is not something I wish apon anyone and not to mention the emotional support and guidance required for the carers that dedicate all their time to caring for loved ones like my amazing Auntie Andrea did for her. As helpless as I still feel, I want to try to contribute something in her memory to raise awareness and support to the research and aid for all those affected. Im going to organise a morning tea to raise money for this cause, if you cant join then please join in spirit. If you can, please donate to this cause that is close to my heart ♥️ Details to follow when I get a rough idea of numbers
