We are hosting a Cuppa to raise funds for all people living with dementia.

We are hosting a Cuppa to support people living with dementia.

Every dollar raised helps make a difference to the 446,500 Australians living with dementia, and the families and friends who support them every day.

Help me reach my fundraising goal so together we can help ensure that no one faces dementia alone

Your donation could help Dementia Australia:

  • Provide free, confidential support through the National Dementia Helpline, available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
  • Deliver trusted dementia information and resources, including translations in multiple languages.
  • Expand our network of Memory Lane Cafés, where people living with dementia can connect, share experiences and enjoy meaningful moments together.
  • Fund vital research to improve care and work towards future breakthroughs.

Pop the kettle on. Let’s show up for dementia together.

❤️ Cuppa for Dementia – A Cause Very Close to Our Hearts ❤️

Friday 14th Aug

Dementia is something that is very close to our hearts here at Matthew Flinders Day Centre.

Every day, we have the privilege of walking alongside individuals living with dementia, as well as their families and loved ones. We see the challenges, but we also see the laughter, the friendships, the stories, the personalities and the wonderful moments that make each person who they are. 💕

Our Day Centre is a place where we want everyone to feel safe, accepted, valued and, most importantly, comfortable being themselves.

We create activities and conversations for all different abilities and stages — because everyone deserves to be included. Whether it’s a game, music, craft, an outing, a good old chat, sharing a cuppa or simply having a laugh together, there is always something happening! ☕️🎶🎨😂

And honestly… we think what we do is pretty grand! 🥰

But dementia can be incredibly challenging, not just for the person experiencing it, but for the people who love and care for them too. That’s why raising awareness is so important to us.

We want to help our community better understand dementia, learn how to support and communicate with people living with dementia, and create a community where people feel included rather than isolated.

By taking part in Cuppa for Dementia, we are hoping to raise funds that can help support research, education, awareness and better support for people living with dementia and their families. 💜

So, we’re putting the kettle on, bringing our community together and having a whole lot of fun while doing something that really matters. ☕️💜

Thank you for supporting our fundraiser and helping us make a difference.

Let’s keep talking about dementia, keep learning, keep supporting one another — and keep making sure nobody feels like they are on this journey alone. 💜
